Teaching O-Group History as cover for Sean during 2012-13

I have always loved history and following the completion of an honours degree in Industrial Archaeology and History, I trained as a Teacher in Northamptonshire and I have now been teaching for 8 years.  I moved back to Devon 6 years ago with my family and have been teaching a local secondary school ever since.

I enjoy cycling, walking and gardening and I have been trying to develop a vegetable garden for the last couple of years.

Sadly, I have become increasingly disillusioned with the way the education system seems to be going and the opportunity to work at Sands provides a fantastic chance to experience education as it can be!  I am really enjoying the different approach to learning and the sense of community I experience here.
