Science Teacher
I went to 7 Schools myself and have now taught in 4. With so many to choose from I have decided that Sands is the my favourite because I can actually get to know the students and we all have direct influence on how the school works. The democracy is at the heart of Sands and I like that a lot.
I actually am a reformed medic, having made the silly mistake of training to be a Doctor, getting a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor Surgery in the process. It was 5 long years at Medical School and too many night shifts before I realised, I just didn’t want to do it anymore. Subsequently I have travelled the world and arrived in Education. My favourite teachers and subjects were scientists and science respectively. Thus it seemed natural continue messing around with chemicals and blood and guts and similar. Now I get to be unreasonably excited about science for a living.
