Music Teacher
I have always been excited by music. I have spent the last 10+ years playing, making and studying music, where my interest and passion has only grown stronger and deeper. I have a degree in Commercial Music from Bath Spa University and have just completed my teacher training in Secondary Music through the University of Plymouth.
I spent my whole school life in mainstream education and always felt that something wasn’t right; that it could be done differently and better. I first heard about Sands through Martin (English teacher). We had just started a band together and as I got to learn more about Sands through him, I felt strongly that this was the future of education.
My interests in music, as my degree might suggest, are towards the more commercial side of music – gigging, recording, production, the music business etc. I hope to bring my excitement for this subject to Sands and build a curriculum together with the students that ignites their passion for music, too.
